Leather
Many Birki's clogs and sandals feature suede or smooth leather uppers that
are as soft as they are beautiful. Our regular cork footbeds are also covered
by this skin-friendly type of leather.
Birko-Flor
As an alternative to leather we use Birko-Flor, a particularly
durable material that's very soft next to the skin. Birko-Flor is non-tearing,
easy-caring material that can be wiped clean with a wet cloth. This versatile
material provides consistent great looks, whether in basic colors or detailed
patterns.
Cork
Anatomically molded cork absorbs the impact of every step and supports
natural step formation. Combined with only the very best raw materials such
as natural rubber, jute and suede leather, our cork footbeds provide the
durability and comfort for every day use.
ALPRO®-foam
ALPRO®-foam is the ultimate material to counter wet or dirty
conditions. Sandals and clogs made from this durable and ultra-flexible
material are perfect for wearing at the swimming pool, in the sauna, in
the garden and in the great outdoors. The reason -- ALPRO®-foam is non-abrasive
and non-slip, and can even be washed at up to 140°F.
ALPRO®-cell
This material is feather light. Our ALPRO®-cell clogs and sandals
are perfect for fun and action while durability and lightweight comfort
are a necessity. Wear them surfing, sailing, canoeing or simply at the beach.
