Bathing bliss

Salt water
Bath your feet in lukewarm water. Add 2 tablespoons of salt per 32-oz of water. After soaking about 5 minutes thorny skin and calluses can be removed easily.

Relax
Your feet can truly relax by adding lavender oil to the water.

Fresh
A cold footbath can work wonders on sweaty feet. Simply soak them in 75°F or colder water and perhaps add dried mint leaves or mint oil for a 5-minute soak.

Dancing-Queen
Dancing with sore feet? Heal them at night by washing your feet with cold water and rubbing them with body oil.

After shopping
The best remedy for swollen feet is a mustard soak. That’s right: simply add mustard powder to your footbath water and the swelling of your feet quickly goes away.

Dry right
Very important: proper drying!
Remember to dry the spaces between your toes so that athlete’s foot stands not a chance!

Foot training
Exercise makes beautiful feet. Walk barefoot a lot and even on your tip-toes once in a while. A good time for this: stand on your tip-toes every night when brushing your teeth! On holidays: use your toes to draw in the sand! At the office: simply draw something in the air underneath your desk!

 

Well-groomed nails

Always straight
To prevent ingrown toe nails, always cut them in a straight line. Edges can be filed off afterwards. After a footbath cuticles are particularly soft and can easily be pushed back with the help of a wooden stick.

Stains
Yellow stains on nails can result from nicotine as well as nail polish used without primer. It is best to use a primer every time you polish your nails! But the stains can be removed by rubbing the nails twice a day with a halved lemon.

 

Second to none

Mix 2 tbs. of unfiltered cider vinegar with 4 tbs. of safflower oil and 1 egg yolk. Put the mixture on your feet like a mask and leave on for five minutes. After that you can wipe off excess oil with a paper tissue.

To counteract chapped feet: massage your feet with coconut oil and they will become smooth again.
Good for feet and nailbed:
Prepare a lotion of 3 tsp. of unfiltered cider vinegar, 3 tsp. of olive oil and 1 egg yolk. Pour this lotion into a re-sealable container. It strengthens nails and nourishes feet.

Ten-minute intensive care treatment: Apply a thick layer of cream or a mask to your feet, put them in small plastic bags, seal, and then soak them in hot water.
